What would you think if I could connect you to one website that would save you tons of time and provide all the information you need to make the best choice possible about a philanthropic endeavor that has the most meaning to you? Let’s say, for example, that you love dogs and have a desire to find a great nonprofit that is devoted to animal welfare and rescue in the Detroit metro area, but you don’t know where to start your research to find the right organization. I have a site for you.
Naturally, once you did your initial research you would want to know the best way to donate or volunteer your time to your favorite shelter or pet adoption organization in your area. On top of that, you would probably like to know about any upcoming events that are specifically focused on your desire to participate and give back. I have a site for you.
Finally, let’s presume your life is crazy with kids, dogs and/or cats, family obligations, and other commitments that take up most of your time during the week, but you still want to help out your favorite rescue shelter with stuff they need. You want a place to shop for dog food and other pet supplies that is easy and convenient and saves you time. I have a site for you.
My friends, I was recently introduced to a wonderful nonprofit in Southeast Michigan that has a fantastic platform that is making a huge difference for hundreds of small and mid-size nonprofits that need exposure about their terrific endeavors in all types of philanthropies.
I am thrilled to be doing a podcast with Janette Phillips, Executive Director of Share Detroit. The more I learn about Share Detroit, the more I realize this is the perfect time-saving solution for many generous people like yourselves who want to give back in some way but don’t know where to start. Janette will share (Haha, get it) in more detail what the website is all about and educate us on the numerous ways we can use it to find the right organization that fits our desire to promote goodwill to others.
