We all see the horrible reports and stories coming out of Ukraine on a daily basis. The families being torn apart and forced to leave their homes because of a cruel unprovoked attack on their country is hard to watch. It is heartbreaking to see children sheltered with their families in basements and underground facilities struggling to find food and warm clothing. Others are opting to walk hundreds of miles from their homes with the hope of finding a safer place to live.
Traumatic events like the one we are witnessing in Ukraine become a global event that affects everyone whether they are in Europe, Asia, or the United States. It often brings out the best of people that want to help families dislocated from their homes even though they are thousands of miles away. Luckily, technology provides a solution for communication and service to our neighbors in need.
A great organization that is doing its part to help our friends in Ukraine is SHARE Detroit. This technology-driven company that helps small and medium-sized charitable organizations in metro Detroit quickly responded by adding a SHARE Ukraine page to their platform in order to bring together good-hearted folks all around the world to help Ukrainian families directly and collectively.
SHARE Detroit co-founder, Sam Rozenberg, was born in Ukraine and is passionate about doing good in his home country. I was fortunate to meet Sam last week and heard his amazing stories about his journey and career. His strong desire to help people and small organizations that Do Good for others was paramount in helping to create SHARE Detroit. He believes the technology platform he brought to Detroit can be an effective tool in connecting volunteers and donors around the world who want to help others, often in locations far from their homes.
If you are like me and want to help families in Ukraine please check out the SHARE Ukraine page below to read about organizations that are making a difference helping folks on the ground today. One feature of SHARE Ukraine is the ability to directly engage and adopt a family or community in Ukraine. You can donate directly to SHARE Ukraine with the tab provided on the GET INVOLVED NOW tab.
If you have questions about how you can help SHARE Detroit and SHARE Ukraine please contact Janette Phillips at Janette@sharedetroit.com or call (248) 202-1180.
I support any effort to bring good-hearted people together to help others. SHARE Detroit provides an effective and easy way to connect with people like you who share that desire.

WHAT WE DO
SHARE Detroit co-founder, Sam Rozenberg, was born in Ukraine and is passionate about doing good in his home country, especially in their most urgent time of need. We are creating a new site called SHARE Ukraine to help support the citizens who are affected by the ongoing current events. Our goal at SHARE Ukraine is to provide a platform to well-meaning members of the free world (individuals and organizations) to help Ukraine directly and effectively.
We are working to communicate the most urgent and vital needs as seen through the lenses of your respective interest, faith, and social outlook. The events that made these years relevant in the reels of history are repeating themselves. The threat to Ukraine is existential. If we again let the enemy succeed, as we have in 1936 to 1941, we become complicit not only in the genocide of the Ukrainian people but all genocides—genocides of the past, present, and future.
If you want to donate and don't have an organization you trust fully to turn your hard-earned money into real helpful action, donate to SHARE Ukraine. You have our guarantee that 100% of your money will go to an organization that will put your money to help Ukraine to bring light out of the darkness thrusted upon them. The organizations will be nominated and vetted by people on the front lines in Ukraine, like Sam Rozenberg's classmate Tolik Lobanov, a retired general in the Ukrainian Army, now a volunteer in territorial defense forces.

War with Russia has come to Ukraine, the Shield of Europe. As we defend the world from tyranny, it’s now or never to show your support for freedom and democracy in Ukraine and the world. We are here defending the values we share across Europe and the world. We are doing our best to make sure Putin’s values do not spread further, even beyond our borders. Our Army is strong and determined, but they are under-equipped. Our organization needs your support and uses these funds to cover the real-time needs of defending Ukraine.
