Destined for Greatness

What could be better than combining a baseball game with a networking opportunity to meet some of the best nonprofits in Southeast Michigan? I have just the ticket for you. Through my good friends at SHARE Detroit, I am sponsoring a great organization that is mentoring young women by finding the support and education they need to succeed in life.

The mission of Destined for Greatness (DFG) is to empower and motivate at-risk young ladies between the ages of 11 to 21. Founder and Executive Director, Shadora Ford, is leading this extraordinary effort that has successfully mentored over 5,000 girls since 2010 and has served over 10,000 families, seniors, and veterans. The goal of DFG is to provide housing, resources, and wrap-around services to communities of color in an effort to decrease crime, food insecurities, and unplanned teen pregnancy.

Join me on Saturday, June 11th for a baseball game and BBQ at Jimmy John’s Field in Utica, Michigan, to meet Shadora and many of the young women benefiting from this great mentoring program. The party starts at 6:00 pm, with game time at 7:05 pm.

Please hit on the link below to purchase tickets to support more young ladies to attend the game. Tickets are $40 and include a BBQ on the party patio where they can meet people from other charities and network with some great people. The best part of the ticket price? Ten dollars from every ticket goes back to the nonprofit of your choice. You can participate with my family by sponsoring DFG or you may choose your own favorite charity from the SHARE Detroit website.

Please check out the flyer below for more details of the Summer SHARE kick-off party and visit the SHARE Detroit website for more opportunities through Labor Day.

Thank you for your time and attention and enjoy your summer.
